Call for Developer Relations Conference 2010 Papers

Evans Data is proud to announce the 6th Annual Developer Relations Conference to be hosted in Bay Area, March 2010

What we are looking for:

We are looking for unique views on the best ways to recruit, manage and communicate with developers. We want to know about your experiences in developing, running and managing a strong and vital developer program. What works? What doesn't? This year, we will focus on Developer Programs In and Out of the Cloud. We'll explore the various tactics and best practices for extending your developer program globally by thinking locally. We want to hear from industry leaders - specific examples are always a plus. It is also important to note that we are not interested in advertisements; if you think your company has the best developer relations program, we want to know more than that. Why and how? What have you done that you wouldn't do again? What would you recommend above all else to companies just beginning their program? How should others revitalize theirs?

Keynotes vs. track speakers:

Keynote presentations are given in front of the entire conference body and as such strive to reach the audience in full, viewing developer relations from a high-level. Track speakers are divided into two segments: marketing, technical and business. These should focus explicitly on the track area and should provide a more nuanced and detailed perspective.

  • The Business of Developer Relations track will explore the challenges and comparisons developing in and out of the cloud, the connection between developer programs and company revenue, budgeting for basic developer programs/costs of developer programs, how to run/get organization's commitment of internal resources, and more.
  • The Marketing to Developers track will examine new techniques for recruiting developers into your program, awareness tactics, community loyalty building programs, legal/privacy and global privacy considerations, conducting a privacy audit, internationalizing a US-based developer relations program, and more.
What to expect:

When you submit a paper you will receive an email with further information. In the past we have had many more papers than we could possibly accept; we will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner. If you have questions during the interim or would like to update your application please call our Events Team and ask for Michelle Fleschute at 831.425 0114.

For examples of past speakers and their abstracts, please look at our lineup from the last Developers Relations Conference.
