Director, IBM developerWorks
Alice Chou has 15 years of experience in the technology and enterprise software space. As Director, IBM developerWorks, she is responsible for IBM's developer community. Previous to this role, she was Director, Websphere Development for emerging technologies, which included cloud, dynamic caching platforms, and open source.
Alice was a co-founder of Gluecode Software, a provider of open source application server software which was acquired by IBM in 2005. Prior to joining IBM, she was based in Silicon Valley where she held roles in product management and marketing in a number of technology start-ups, including Vitria Technology and Actional (acquired by Progress Software). She started her career in management consulting at Bain & Company in San Francisco and holds bachelor degrees in applied mathematics and economics from Pomona College.
