This is the 25th volume of our Mobile Development Survey series, the most comprehensive existing research series focusing exclusively on mobile development. This detailed report consists of extensive in-depth interviews with 385+ developers worldwide active in mobile development. Includes sections on mobile platforms, device development and deployment, app stores and the business of mobile development, adoption of content formats and technologies, types of apps being developed, porting between platforms, location and map based development, as well as issues and requirements important to mobile developers.

This survey captures a transitional period, where there is great expansion of new delivery channels and shifting developer focus on new platforms. Previously titled the Wireless Development Survey, this report will now be referred to as the Mobile Development Survey which better describes the intent of the research and analysis.
